Harmonics
The harmonic structure is based on my idea of cyclic harmonics. I use similar relative harmonic movements instead of a set of absolute chords relating to each other in a certain key.
A central movement rather than a tonal center.
Chords are not repeated again until the end of each eleven chord cycle. This gives the music a feeling of both predictability and uncertainty.
“Spring-Heeled Joe” moves upwards in minor and major thirds whereas “Let the right one sleep” is using pure fifth:s and minor 6:ths.
The idea started out completely intuitively but I have later analyzed myself and realized that this was what I was normally doing.
