Strings

The strings in “Let the right one sleep” are taken from many different sampled sources. Different instruments, microphones, musicians and rooms.

Sometimes each note has a completely different timbre than one following, giving the strings a very mosaic structure.

This is a very tedious process, but the only way to get the sound I was looking for.

The musicians recorded for “Spring-Heeled Joe” were students at the Falun Conservatory of Music, and part of an annual project between the Conservatory and the Gotland School of Music Composition, where I studied 2006-2008.
